WESTLAND LAND BOARD.

The monthly meeting of the Westland Land Board was held yesterday afternoon at 2 o’clock. Present*—o. H. M. McClure, Esq. (Chief Commissioner), Messrs Lang, Pollock and Mallinson.

The minutes of the previous meeting wore read and confirmed.

The following applications relating to this district were dealt with:—

A. E. Howard applied for 50 acres opposite Chesterfield railway station, Blk X., Waimea S.D. Granted. A. Griffin (W. Duncan) applied for 40 acres adjoining his freehold section 2039, Blks 111 and IV., Turiwhate S.D.- Granted.

P. O’Boyle applied for 100 acres adjoining section 2781, Blk VIII., Wairaea S.D.—Refused.

R. Wilson (W. Duncan) applied for 300 acres at present held by him under Misc. lease 574, Blk IX., Turiwhate S.D.—Granted.

A. McCormack, S. J. Knowles and E. M. J. Cooper applied for 300 acres between the Ross deviation and the present road, Block V., Kanieri S.D.— Granted!

A. S. Cunningham applied for 40 acres adjoining freehold sections 1846 and 1762, Rlk 111., IV. and VI., Turiwhate S.D.—Granted.

H. A. Cunningham applied for 104 acres, being a strip of land 10 chains wide, extending from Rocky Point for a distance of 65 chains down river together with land opposite, between road and river, Blk IV., Tnriwhatc S.D..—Granted.

J. J. O’Neill (W. Duncan) applied for 100 acres Wataroa river bed fronting section 2369, Blk XI., Wataroa S.D.—Granted.

J. C. Malfroy and C. M Malfroy applied for 100 acres, being reserve No. 243 Blk 111., Kanieri S.D.—Governor recommended to uplift reservation. W. Vincent applied for 360 acres in Karangarua river from boundary of Run 18 to mouth of river, Blk IV., Bruce Bay.—Granted. W. Vincent aplied for a renpewable lease over 400 acres of unsurveyed land Blk 1V.,, Bruce Bay S.D.—Adjourned for advertisement.

P. Hansen, junr., T(. W. Bcare) applied for 200 acres on Hokitika-Ross road, Blk VIII., Mahinapua S.D. A. Vroblfski (Lewis and Wells) applied for 50 acres adjoining misc. lease 300 and lying between Native Reserve 24 and Insolvent Traclf, Block V., Kanieri S.D.—Adjourned for report. T. C. H. Chinn applied for a renewable lease over 20 acres of unsurveyed laud, Blk XL, Waitaba S.D.—Adjourned. W. Olderog (Lewis and Wells) applied for 18 acres in Kawahaka Creek, fronting section 1932, formerly held under misc. lease 66, Blk XI, Kanieri S.D —Granted. Miscellaneous Business. Pastoral license 483, run 489, Blk XL, Waimea S.D., W. Wilson, junr., applies under section 255 Licensing Act for a new license over above run. —G ranted.

The Commissioner recommended that lease 2of> in name of K. J. L. Batson, Blk VII., Waiho, be cancelled.—License terminated.

The Commissioner reported that the ballot for three sections in Waitaha Survey District will be held on Wednesday, 20th April, 1910, at 3 p.m.— Received.

The Commissioner placed before the Board sale sheets of auction sale of Pastoral runs bold on the 28th February, 1910, This concluded the hsinoss.
