Sydney, April 9

Mr Carrulhers bas conferred with Mr Deakin in reference to the Commonwealth taking ever Norfolk Inland.

They arrivtd at an arrangement to t.ke it over, which tho Premiers' Conf. renc * subsequently confirmed.

The island will be taken over on the same footing as New Guinea, and will not be subject to the Commonwealth tariff.

The Conference further discussed with Mr Deakin tbe question of in migration and agreed that the Commonwealth •bould take over advertising and shipping arrangements.
