_^ Rome, April 9 The principal crater of Mount Vesuvius continues very active. j The inhabitants of the villages around the volcano are moving their property to other districts. On Friday night last the town of Boscotrecaise, which is on the southern slope of the .nountain, about two miles and a half from the main crater, was surrounded by a grest stream of- lava from above. All tbo gardens and vineyards were destroyed, and none of the residents in the vicinity stept during tbe night. A new aperture bas made its appearance on tbe mountain.
