SAWMILLERS' CONFERENCE
Wellington, June 7 At a conference of sawmillers held here i-day, it was decided, in view of the
present excess of the timber output, fo restrict work to five days per week, both in mill and bush. This will be tried for a month, when, if the demand does not improve, the question of workiag only four days will be considered.
