INQUEST.
Auckland, Jan 4
John Evans, a settler, whose house wa^ destroyed by fire on New Year's Day, died at Ralgan. At the inquest a verdict was returned to the effect that death resulted from shock caused by burn 3, no blaim being attributable to anybody.
