FIRE IN AUCKLAND.

Auckland, December 8.

A fire in -'jymond street destroyed Tyre's store, Grilmour's store and Lincoln's cottage. Insurances are as follows :— Tyre's stock, £800 in tha New Zealand ; building, £550 in Standard ; Gilmour's stock £1200 in the United. The latter amount is re-insured for £300 each in the Union Northern, and Norwich Union. The building is insured for £450 in the Standard; Lincoln's cottage was insured for £100 in the Standard office.
