Greymouth.— 2sth, 2.15 p.m., Rangitoto, from Hokitika ; 3 p.m., Kennedy, from Hokitika.

RAILED. Greymouth. — 25th, 11.20 a.m., Murray, for Hokitika ; 2.45 p.m., Rangitoto, for Nelson.

The favorite s.s. Murray arrived in port yesterday afternoon from Greymouth. Capt. Palmer reports having left Nelson at 11 a.m. on Saturday for Motueka ; arrived there, took in 27 tons of produce, and left again at 9 p.m. When off Wanganui Inlet some derangement to one of the slide valves occurred, causing a delay of four hours. Steamed ahead again, and arrived off Westport at 9.15 p.m. on Sunday, and crossed the bar at 10.30. Landed 28 tons of cargo, and crossed the bar outwards at midnight. Kan down to Greymouth at half speed, and arrived there at 8.30 a.m. Left the Grey yesterday morning at 11.30, and arrived here as above. The Murray left for the North at midnight. The regular trader Rifleman arrived alongside the upper wharf yesterday afternoon, being towed in by the Lioness. Captain Hobbs reports having left Lyttelton at 8 a.m. on the 17th inst., with the wind from the N.W., which lasted for twelve hours. Jt then came on from the southward, and the. vessel had a good run to Cape Farewell, off which she arrived at daylight on Thursday, in company with the schooner Canterbury, bound for Greymouth. On Friday passed her, ten miles south of Rock's Point. When about ten miles to the northward of this port was picked up by the tug, and brought into the roadstead on Tuesday. Remained to anchor until tide time yesterday, and then was towed in. The Rifleman brings a full cargo of general produce. The s.s. Kennedy sailed for Greymouth, Westport, and Nelson yesterday afternoon. The Rangitoto, after being again tendered by the Waipara, continued her trip round the ports yesterday afternoon.

The next trip of the Waipara will be North, and she will sail to-day.

The steamer Wallabi, from Dunedin to West Coast ports, will call at Wanganui before coming on here. She was to leave Lyttelton on the 24th.

By telegram we learn that the steamer Charles Edward will arrive here in time to sail North on Tuesday next, the 31st inst. The schooner Lady Don, Toomey, sailed from Lyttelton for thin port on the 22nd inst. with a full cargo of produce.

The following are the dates of departure from Melbourne of tbe vessels of Messrs M'Meckan, Blackwood and Co.'s line : — Tararua, 28th January ; Alhambra, 30th January ; Omeo, 4th February ; Gothenburg, I lth February. The Tararua makes tbe Bluff her first port of cull, and the others call at Hokitika aud the Bluff alternately.

When the Raugitoto left Melbourne the Kate Conly was announced to soil for Greymouth on the 20th iust. Tbe Zephyr for Hokitika was to have immediate despatch. The Sarah and Mary for Hokitika, and tbe Waterman Jot GreyoflQUtu, were fart loading.

the 21st. The Maid of Erin was ou tbe berth for Westport ; the Io was laid on for the same port. ' The steamer Claud Hamilton was to commence trading between Adelaide and Melbourne. On October 10, Messrs .John Duthic, Sons, and Co., launched tit Aberdeen, a beautiful clipper three-masted schooner named the Mary Blair, of 470 tons, 8.M., to class Al at Lloyd's for 1 1 years, and built to the order of Messrs John Frascr and Co., of Sydney, N.S.W., who purpose employing her in the Australian and China trade, ller fine lines and exquisite finish have been the admiration of all judges, and sjie is expected to more than sustain the high reputation of her builders for great speed. She is now on the berth for Adelaide in Messrs Houlder Brothers and Co.'s line, and having nearly completed her loading, will be despatched in a few days.
