QUEENSLAND.
Brisbane, Tuesday, Nov. 24,
A clerk of the Bench named Bowerman, who had been suspended by the Undersecretary, Mr Arthur Manning (brother of Sir William Manning), attacked Mr Manning with a tomahawk to-day, and struckhim three blows on the head. He is not expected to recover.

In consequence of the vote arrived at in the Assembly on the reply to the address, in which the motion of want of confidence was only ncgativ6d by tfrtf casting vote of the Speaker, the Ministry have resigned, and Mr V itzgerald has accepted the task of forming a new Administration in which Mr Macalistcr is likely to be the Premier.
Mr Manning, the Under-Secretary, who was dangerously assaulted by a suspended clerk, is still alive, but hardly expected to recover.
7.45 p.m. Parliament has been adjourned till tlie 29th of December.
Mr Manning is progressing favorably ; no inflamatory symptoms have shown themselves.
Friday, Nov. 27.
Bowerman, who assaulted Mr Manning, has been remanded for a week. The wounded gentleman is progressing favorably.
The writs for the Ministerial elections have been issued.
The drought in the northern districts has broken up, and seasonable rains have fallen.
