Echuca, Sept. 29. The New South Wales river survey party have commenced operations in surtpying.the lower, pbrtions;pf the itfurr#v.i It is understood they will complete the survey to the South Australian boundary. This survey will determine whether the river can be locked. The Melbourne snagging vessel is now proceeding about 60 miles down the river, taking one of her iron punts in tow, and -will commence to . clear there. Mr Shelley, the superintendent, goes with her. The polise have received information that a man unknown, has been found today on the rim of St. Germain's, belonging to Winters Brothers, Groulbum River, The body twas in an advanced state of decomposition: . % Tile Mumunbidgee is I2ft. 6m. above summer level.
