ADELAIDE.
August 8. The steamer Alexandra has sailed for Maryborough with 150 diggers for tho Gympie Goldfields. August 10. It is reported that no mention was made of an arrangement of the Intercolonial Postage Queulion when Mr Martin was in Melbourne. Rock salt has been discovered in the Western District. Mr Jones circumstantially and positively denies having received £60 from Mr Alexander. There have been no sales of flour; 7000 bushels of New Zealand oats sold at 3s 8d; maize, 3s 7|d to 3s 8d 55 tons of rod iron sold at £9 5s ; wool packs, 3s 9d. Abhived. — Atrevida, from Hongkong ; Koskiusco and C. H. Soule, from Glasgow ; Vanguard, from London ; Conway Castle, from Liverpool ; Thomas Edwards, partially dismasted, from Mauritius.
