RESIDENT MAGISTRATE'S COURT.
(Before G. G. FitzGerald, Esq., R.M.) Wednesday, Decembeb 18. Bbeach of Police Obdinance. — John Green was charged with resisting the police hi the execution of their duty. Constable Boyle stated that he was stationed on the wharf, in the afternoon of the 17th instant, whilst some cattle were being landed from the Eucalyptus, to keep the people from pressing round the cattle. The constable called to prisoner to keep back, but he refused. On his refusing a second time, witness took hold of him, and he resisted him to the utmost of his power. He then took him in charge. Prisoner said he did not hear the constable call him back. The first he saw or heard of the constable was when he took hold of him and thrust him back. As the prisoner had been locked up all night His Worship discharged him with a caution. His Worship disposed of the undefended civil cases. Three defended cases, Solomon v. Mewett, Clark v, Ferguson, Kaach v. Flower, were adjourned till th« 19th instant.
The Court was then adjourned till eleven o'clock on the following day.
