In the Assembly, the debate on the same resolutions has been adjourned until to-mor-row, and it is expected that they will be negatived. The general opinion seems to be, that the Government ought to survey the country before abandoning it. Mr Charles Goode suggested that the settlement should be handed over to Queensland, if the Government of that colony will take the responsibility of its management. Two offers to survey the country have been received by the Government, but no price was named in either. It is thought that a tender offering to survey the wh01e, 300,000 acres at a given price, ■with securities that it would be properly carried out, would be at once accepted.
