Sydney papers of the 14th ult.'are to hand. The "Herald" reports :—: — Notwithstanding the fact that uo wool sales were held last week, the amount offered ut to-day's sales was smaller than usual, only 101 bales being catalogued. For these biddings were brisk, but prices showed very little from those ruling lately. The supply of sheepskins was very large, and f jund ready sale at rates exhibiting an advance of from £d to id per lb. Messrs Mort and Co. offered sixty-tliveo bales of wool and 15,000' sheepskins. They quittqd thirty-two bales of
wool, all in- small parcels. Scoured brought 2OJvl to 22* d ; fleece, 15H ; greasy, 3Jd to9id j mixed, 3!jd to 12J; hand washed, 13^ J ; black, 111; clippings, 7icl. Nearly ivll the skins offered found purchasers at 5£.l to 7»tl. Messrs Richardson and Wrench disposed of 10 bales greasy, ABJ, at 7id per lb. Messrs* Irwin and Turner placed 29 bales, of which 11 bales greasy, JHY, realised 10$ d ; 6 bales fleece, BxR, 18jd ; 6s bales scoured, 17^d. The balance wero single bales. 603 D sheepskins were sold at 3£d to fid. The long ovorduo Sea Nymph arrived today from Colombo, with 767 bags sugar, 10 casps cigars, 181 bags\ coffee, 198 cases sago, 500 bags pepper, 20 cases nutmegs, 127 chests tea, and sundries.
