try districts. The market for mult liquors, both in bulk and bottle, is without animation and chiefly among second houses, importers doing nothing of any moment. The aspect of tho market for provisions is still unsteady, though holders are making no concession in value : it has not transpired that a single parcel of any magnitude has been quitted. In sugars there Jb nothing doing, purchasers waiting for Tuesday's auction €«le. Teas have been in fair demand, and a gradual lessening of stock is perceptible ; rates are, however, without improvement. Spirits and wines are ill fair supply, particularly good brands ; the sales making are numerous but not heavy. Transactions in building materials continue good, and prices fully maintained.
