Saturday, May 26.

A boat has been found near the Richmond River with the name ' Blackburn' marked on it. ,The ship Blackburn sailed from Liverpool, bound to California. She was owned by Messrs j Potter and Company. Another boat was found here some time ago with Messrs ' Potter and Company's flag aboard. A letter has also been received by the New South Wales Assurance Company, asking for information about the Blackburn, but nothing has been heard of her since she left Liverpool. It 1 is feared she must have foundered.

Monday, May 28. The Prince de Conde's remains have been removed from Petty's Hotel to St. Mary's Cathedral. A procossion was formed' soon after ten o'clock, and proceeded through, Margaret, George, and King streets to the cathedral. The cortege extended over half a mile. All the leading inhabitants were present ; also the Governor, the judges, the foreign consuls, the officers of the garrison and the men-of-war in , the port, members of both branches of the Legislature, and all the principal dignitaries of the Catholio Church and Catholic guilds. Tho body is now lying in state. An immense number of people lined tho streets along the route of the procession. The flags of the shipping ports, Government House, consulates, and public offices were flying half-mast yesterday and to-day. The Supreme Court adjourned in token of respect to tho memory of the Prince.

. Messrs James Macarthur, of Camden ; Edward Cox, of Mulgoa ; and Hugh Wallace, of Braidwood, have accepted seats in the Legislative Council. Large deposits of kerosene shale have been found in tho Southern district, near Araluen. The markets are brisker. Sales of whisky in glass are reported at 12s. Sugars aro firm. Breadstuff's aro firm, though tho stock is sufficient for several months' supply. A man was orushed to death on tho railway last night.

Tuesday, .May 29. A party of young men were shooting on Sunday, at Cook's River, when a gun was accidentally fired, which killed a man named Moss. The body of a murdered Chinaman has been found in Wollondilly River, near Goulburn. The body was stabbed in several places.

The Opera Company left for Melbourne to day.

The Princo do Conde's body was removed from^ho Cathedral during the night, and placed on board a ship in the harbor.

Auckland news to the 16th inst. has been received, but it is unimportant. Volkner's murderers wero to be executed next day. Tho Commodore, from California, had arrived, with 400 tons of breadstuffs.

Wednesday, May 30. Two chinamen have boon arrested at Goulburn, and committed for trial, for

the murder of the man found in the Wollondilly river. . A telegram from Moulamein reports rain having fallen along the lower part of the Edward river. Advices from the Friendly Islands report that a largo ship, name unknown, lumber laden, for Melbourne, which had put in leaky, had been deserted by her crew, and was likely to be detained some time. The Woodbine, from Banca Island,, has brought a portion of her cargo of tea from the barque Juverna, wrecked there. Sugars are very firm. Whisky continues advancing. Candles are held for Is. Bd. Kerosene- is dull ; the first parcel of tho Hartley Company's manufacture is advertised for sale by auction on Thursday. Manila rope is held for £65. Maize is firm at 4s. 4d, Oats advancing. The import markets are very quiet, and there is nothing to report. The P.N.Z. and A.R.M. Company's steamer Kaikoura has been fitted with a two-bladed screw, with which it is expected she will preserve her speed. jA large number of visitors have inspected her in dock. Thursday, May 31.
