The Rev. Mr Frazer is oii a visit to We.-tland with a view to the establish mont of a Presbyterian Church and Ministry. No steps have yet been taken to provide ministrations according to the lites of the Church of England, for a population numbering some thirty thousand persons, although reports have reached us of an Archdeacon of Hold,tika in the person of a son of the iihop of Christchurch. I The Right Rev. Dr. Viard, Catholic /Bishop of Wellington, accompanied by^ ,/, the Very Rev. Mr O'Reilly, Vicar,' i *\ General, is in town, and will, on Sun-/ day next, perform the ceremony of the dedication of St. Mary's Church. The Wesleyan body fire continuing their efforts to provide religious wstruo-
ition for the people, with a success proiportioned to their zeal. ! A-Bible Society has just been formed in Hokitika, as a branch of the Canter1 bury Auxiliary Society.
