AUCKLAND FERRY CREWS TO HOLD STOP-WORK MEETING TOMORROW

AUCKLAND, Last Night (PA).— All ferries between the city and North Shore will stop shortly after nine o’clock on Friday morning. The Devonport Steam Ferry Company Employees’ Union will hold ? stop-work meeting at 9.30. The meeting is expected to last about one and a-half to two hours. Two shift meetings of the men held this morning and tonight decided to hold the meeting on Friday. The men are dissatisfied with a recent award in which they were given weekly increases ranging from 5s Id for masters to 7d for night-watchmen. The men claimed increases of more lhan £2 a week.
