Premiers Will Discuss Many World Problems

LONDON, Dec. 16 (Recd. 7pm).— The premiers’ conference next month would cover all the main problems facing the world both in the east and the west, the Commonwealth Relations secretary, Mr. Gordon Walker, said at Smethwick, Staffordshire, tonight. “That the leaders of nine countries spread across the face of the globe can sit down in amity and understanding to discuss world problems and the international situation is, in itself, an important thing which, undoubtedly, has a steadying effect on the world. The more difficult the world situation, the more clear it becomes that the British Commonwealth is the most important factor in the world today, making for peace, sanity and stability.”
