ATTLEE AND TRUMAN TO MEET
The Prime Minister of Britain (Mr. Attlee) announced in the House of Commons that he had proposed to President Truman that he should visit Washington and discuss the situation in Korea. About an hour after Mr. Attlee
announced the proposed visit, the Prime Minister’s office stated that a reply had been received from Washington that the President was very agreeable to talks. Mr. Attlee is expected to fly to America on Saturday or Sunday.
