Communist China, Through Russia, Attacks MacArthur's Report

NEW YORK, Nov. 15 (Rec. 6 pm).— Communist China, in its first communication to the United Nations about General MacArthur’s report of Chinese Communist intervention in Korea, stated today: ‘‘The voluntary assistance of the Chinese people was natural and just.” A statement from a representative of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Chinese peoples republic was transmitted to the United Nations by Mr. Jacob Malik (Soviet Russia). It stated that MacArthur’s report, from beginning to end, was a perversion of the facts and completely contrary to the truth and also constituted a blustering attempt to intimidate China. The statement said that the Chinese were fully entitled to charge the United States with provocation and aggression against China. "The facts have shown that the aim of United States aggression in Korea is not only Korea itself, but also an extension of aggression to China.” The statement demanded the immediate withdrawal of all foreign troops for a peaceful settlement of the Korean issue. It added that if aggression was not stopped by withdrawing armed forces from Korea the struggle against aggression would never cease. The statement, which said that the Chinese people had no fear of threats of any aggressor, also stated that the security of China had been placed in peril as the result of numerous bombing raids on north-east China. “And now they dare to describe as

‘foreign intervention’ the rightful action of the Chinese people In rendering voluntary help to the Korean people, who are resisting the United States,” the statement said. The aggressors had gone too far and the world knew who was right and who was wrong.
