CAIRO, Nov 12 (Recd 1 am).—King Farouk has accepted the resignation of General Mohammed Haidar Pasha, commander-in-chief of the Egyptian armed forces. Haidar Pasha, a non-party man, was War Minister during the Palestine campaign and Egypt's first comman-der-in-chief. The resignation is expected to be followed by the enforced retirement of several high-placed officers involved in the investgation concerning allegations of misappropriation of army funds, and supplying, at high prices, defective arms and munitions to the Egyptian army, especially during the 1948 Palestine fighting.

Cabinet Reshuffle In Egypt CAIRO, Nov. 11 (Recd. 6 p.m.).— Serag El Din Pasha, Egyptian Interior Minister, and Wafd party sec-retary-general, has taken over the key Finance Ministry in a cabinet reshuffle, announced by the Prime Minister, Nahas Pasha, today. Three ministers lost their posts and others changed positions in the reshuffle.

Political observers said that the changes meant a strengthening of the power of Serag El Din Pasha, who has been increasingly relieving Nahas Pasha of State burdens.
