Bennett, widow of tne late Bishop of Aotearoa, the Rt. Rev. F. A. Bennett, left Kohupatlki yesterday to take up residence at her new home at "Aotearoa," Kawaha Point, Rotorua. Representatives of Wellington, Timaru, Dunedin and Christchurch Marriage Guidance Councils met last week in Christchurch to form a National Marriage Guidance Council. The alm of this council is to encourage the work of rnarrii/ e guidance throughout New Zealand and to standardise the training of councillors. Miss Mary Graham, of Wellington, official lecturer in New Zealand for the Theosophical Society, left recently for India to attend the 75th. anniversary of the society to be held at Adyar, Madras, in December. The general secretary of the society in NewZealand, Miss E. Hunt, of Auckland, will also attend the same convention. Coming-Of-Age Party. On Saturday night at the Savage Club hall and afterward at their home in Filzherbert Avenue, Mr. and Mrs Len Denman entertained 190 guests to celebrate the coming-of-age of their only child, Miss Nola Denman. Visitors were present from Auckland, Wellington, Dannevirke, Woodville, Palmerston North and Marton. Mrs Denman received the guests wearing a blue cloque frock aind shoulder spray of orchids while the guest-of honour was gowned in pastel blue embossed marquisette. The evening was spent in dancing, with items by Miss Enfield (elocution), Mrs J. Armstrong and Mr. Denman, senr. (songs). Decorations for the sup. per tables were carried out in pale pink poppies. Speakers were Mr. N. O. Maitland, of the Bank of New Zealand, where Miss Denman works, Mr. Doug Brooks (a friend of the family) and Mr. George Denman senr., who is 81. Miss Denman suitably replied and her father presented her with the traditional key.
