BERLIN, Oct, 28.—The 13,000-ton German-manned whaling flagshin. Olympic Challenger, and 12 former British corvettes, rebuilt as whalecatchers, left Kiel today for the Antarctic. It is the first time German sailors have taken part in a whaling expedition since the Allies barred Germany from whaling after the war. Technical manager of the American financed expedition is the Norwegian “King of the Whalers,” Lars Andersen, who h l a German whaling expedition in 1938.
