Two People Hurt In Crossing Smash
AUCKLAND, Last Night (PA).— Two persons were injured in a collision this afternoon between a light van and the northbound Taneatua express on the Whatawhata Road level crossing at Ngaruawahia. Those injured were Mr Walter Thorpe Fuller, .aimer, aged 49, of Huntly West Road, Ngaruawahia, who suffered severe cuts on the face and whose condition •s serious; and Mrs Mary Shaw, of Whatawhata Road, Ngaruawahia, who •'Juvctl a fractured shoulder. Llr Fi.’lie*' and Mrs Shaw were admitted to the Waikato Hospital. The third occupant of the vehicle, Mrs Florence Mary Tarplett, of Huntly West Road, Ngaruawahia, escaped with minor injuries. The express was delayed 15 minutes.
