CANADIAN JUDGE FOR DOGS AT WANGANUI SHOW THIS YEAR
The man who is to judge at the two-day Wanganui Kennel Club Show which is to be held in conjunction with the A. and P. Show On November 10 and 11, is Mr. H. P. Saunders, a barrister and solicitor of the Supreme Court of Alberta, Canada. He is on the official panels of both Canadian and American Kernel Clubs to judge “all breeds/’ Mr. H. P. Saunders has had a long experience connected with the fancy both as a breeder and judge. Some of the breeds which he has are English and American Cocker Spaniels, Britany Spaniels, Labradors (Yellow and Black), English Setters, Pointers, Irish Setters, English Bulldogs. Staffordshire Bull Terriers, Border Terriers, Irish Water Spaniels and others. He has judged all breeds across Canada from the Atlantic to the Pacific, as well as judging at many American shows for the past decade, some of his more recent shows being Vancouver. Winnipeg, Minneapolis, Holly wood, Washington and lowa. He has been interested in dogs since his early youth and has had many years’ experience in the breaking in .training and the handling of the various .breeds. He has J.idged all breeds in both the United States and Canada for many years.
[ In a letter 'o the secretary of the | Wanganui Kennel Club (Mr. A. W. ( Buttars), Mr. Saunders says that he is, looking forward with a great deal of pleasure to meeting members of the club and outside exhibitors. Mr. Saunders is the first Canadian to judge dogs in New Zealand.
