Power Board Revenue.

The ordinary meter readings for September returned £17,434, but this was a\ decrease on last year’s figures, due mainly to changes in reading dates( reported the secretary, Mr G. A. Ammundsen, to yesterday’s meeting of the Wanganui-Rangitikei Electric Power Board. Mr Ammundsen said it was too early to provide figures for the half-year to September 30. However, income was not expected to be less than last year’s total, hut expenses would be higher in keeping with the general trend, though the cost of bulk power would be a little lower, he added.
