Floods Follow Typhoon In Central Luzon
MANILA, Oct. 7 (Recd. 7 pm).— Huge floods in central Luzon, following the recent typhoon, have forced more than 10,000 families to leave their homes. The swollen Pampanga River breached dykes in many places, and many villages were completely cut off. Native canoes cannot operate because of the swirling current.
The Red Cross has sent Army helicopters carrying food and other relief supplies.
