N. York Yankees Win World Baseball Series
NEW YORK, Oct. 7 (Rec. 7 pm).— The New York Yankees won the 1950 “world” series baseball championship today when they beat the National League’s Philadelphia Phillies in the fourth game, after winning the previous three games.
Yankees have won ihe title 13 times since the big clash between the premiers of the two leagues began in 1905.
