CHRISTCHURCH. Last Night (PA). - First man home in the Timaru to Christchurch cash cycling race yesterday was M. Thompson, of Leeslon, an outstanding young rider who starte off the 30-minute mark and crossed the line nearly a minute ahead of L Ball, of Christchurch, his co marker Ball finished second. R. Taylor, of Auckland, off scratch, made the fastest time, as he did a week ago in the Rangioi a-Kaikoura race.
