AUCKLAND, Last Night (PA).The weather was bright and sunny for the first day of the Auckland Racing Club's spring meeting at Ellerslie on Saturday. The track was soft and the win-and-place totalisator handled £173,866 10s. The double totalisator put through £26,227 10s, making a total of £200,094, compared with £164,312 last year, an increase of £35,782.
