Auckland Wins The Contract Bridge Championship Of N.Z.

| CHRISTCHURCH, Yesterday (PA). 1 —The New Zealand contract bridge teams of four championship was won by B. C. Bell's team from Auckland. They had a lead of 155* points from Dr. J. P. McQuilkin’s team (Christchurh) at the end of the four sessions of play in Christchurch this week. The other members of the winning team, all from the Northern Contract Bridge Club, of Auckland, were Rex Evans, W. Dodd and J. P. Martin/ The next four teams in order were ’ Dr. J. P. McQuilkin, Mrs H. Holder, Mrs T. Armstrong and D. Somervell | (Christchurch), 1327 points; D. Mc- ' Cormick, Mrs R. R. Bell, Mrs L. Wyles, i Miss P. Norton (Christchurch), 1290 .1 points; B. P. Wilson, Mrs D. Black, Dr ’ Wardale, Miss Elliot (Dunedin), 1283* points; Mrs G. B. Morgan, Mrs CStringer, Miss O. Kerr and Miss S. Fraser (Christchurch), 1267 i points.
