Centennial Hockey Tourney

CHRISTCHURCH, Last Night (PA) - The Canterbury Hockey Association’s centennial tournament was continued today, when the third round of the major tournament and the semifinals of the minor tournament were completed. The grounds were affected by overnight rain and the matches

were played in overcast weather with little wind. Results were:— Major tournament. —A section: Wellington 1, Canterbury A 0; Canterbury B 5, Otago B 0. B section: Auckland 3, Canterbury C 0; Otago A 3, Hawke s Bay 0. Section winners are Wellington and Auckland and they will play in the final tomorrow. Minor tournament. —Semi - finals: South Canterbury 7. Ashburton 2: Wairarapa 1, Canterbury DO. South Canterbury will play Wairarapa in the final tomorrow.
