TWO HOCKEY ALL BLACKS TO REPRESENT WANGANUI AT N.P.
Two players chosen as New Zealand representatives this season are Included in the Wanganui hockey teams selected to play Taranaki at New Plymouth on Saturday. N. Mclntyre, who has just completed a tour of Australia with the New Zealand men’s hockey team, will play in the A team, and R. A. Calkin, who has been chosen for an Australian tour later in the season as a member of the New Zealand secondary schools’ boys’ hockey team, will play in the B team. The teams are:—
Wanganui A: P. Williamson, R. Cate, J. Myers (captain), N. Mclntyre, F. Smaller, A. Tucker, W. Spicer, R. Mclntyre, B. Hughes, S. Morgan and I. Laurenson.
Wanganui B: J.. Ross, E. Robinson, A. Affleck, T. Anderson, Graham Hughes, B. Tunbridge, R. A. Calkin, M. Goldsbury (captain), D. Campbell, W. Johns and C. Palamountain Reserves: R. Leahy, R. Clarke, Gordon Mclntyre, J. Wapene and I. Young. The teams will leave Wanganui by bus from the Post Office at 8 a.m. on Saturday morning.
