The request of Federated Farmers in respect of the Board of Trade was not necessarily for a direct representative. What was pointed out was. that we considered it highly desirable that one of the appointees, at least, should have a wide and detailed know eoge or tne - FeqUneaie-a., o. the farming community, and also that he should be capable of estimating the effect of any decisions of the Board of Trade on the farming economy of the country.—l am, etc., A.
