AUSTRALIA AS ARSENAL OF WAR
SYDNEY, July 21 (Recd. 8.20 pm).—The Federal Minister of Supply, Mr. Beale, stated today that Australia has begun the manufacture of new types of gun ammunition. Two other ammunition factories have also begun “certain new projects,” many of which are on the secret list. The Commonwealth Air Corporation is completing its building programme of Mustang fighters and is getting ready for Hawker jetfighter production.
