Hospital Coal Supplies Erratic And Of Poor Quality, Says Engineer

“Once again the coal position at this institution has been causing some considerable concern,” stated the engineer, Mr. Martin Smith, in his monthly report to the Wanganui Hospital Board, received at the meeting yesterday. The quality of some of the had been exceedingly poor and the deliveries erratic.

“While in Wellington last wei> I colled on the Mines Controller and scusscd the position with him,” the igineer added. “He assured me hat he will look into the position egarding the supply of a bettor class )f coal. I am hoping that a considerable improvement will he the outcome.”
