Rugby Competitions To Be Continued Tomorrow; Seven-a-side Postponed
The seven-a-side Rugby tournament to have been held at Bulls tomorrow has been postponed and the club fixtures which were postponed last week because of the wet weather, are to be staged instead. This decision was made at a meeting of the management committee of the Rangitikel Rugby Union on Wednesday night.
This will mean that the senior championship will conclude tomorrow and the draw for all grades is as follow: Senior: Marton Old Boys v. Hunterville, at Hunterville; Mr. J. Berrett. Rata v. Ohingaiti, at Ohingaiti...; Mr. A. Futcher. Athletic v. Bulls, at Marton; Mr. R. Penn.
Junior: Marton Old Boys v. Rata, at Marton (No. 2 ground); Mr. E, Boyd. Turakina v. Hunterville, at Turakina, at. 2.15 p.m.; Mr. W, Kereara. Athletic a bye. Thirds: Ratana v. Hunterville, at Hunterville, at 1.15 p.m.; Mr. M. Henwood. Athletic v. Marton Old Boys, at Marton, at 1.15 p.m.; Mr. J. Barry. Fourths: Rangitikei v. Wanganui, at Wanganui racecourse.
The seven-a-side tournament will be played later in the season. There has been on e alteration in the Rangitikei fourth grade team to play Wanganui, at Wanganui. D. Timmins (High School) is on the injured list and. the new hooker will be T. White (Old Boys). A. Cockran (Old Boys) has been added to the forward reserve list.

PERSONAL. Mr. H. J. B. Langley, Heaton Park, Marton, Was a successful candidate in a Rehabilitation Department land ballot conducted at Masterton. He drew a section in the Ponatahi settlement, Martin borough. Mr. J. M. Grant was elected chairman of the Ist. Marton Boy Scouts Committee at the annual meeting on Wednesday night. Mr. H. L. Grut. who has held the position for the past seven years did not seek re-election.
