TAIHAPE golf club. Last Saturday the snow proved too much for the local golfers and no play was in darkness for one and a-half few hardy members played and C. Joblin showed out best in a Stableford competition. This week-end the draw for Saturday will be the same as last, players are asked to play Stratson and Joblin Cup matches, if possible, and also McKee trophy matches. Players are also asked to hand their cards in on the bogey competition, as the selection of the Cascade Cup team for the Rangiwaea Club’s challenge may be made from these cards. TAIHAPE LADIES’ GOLF CLUB The following is the draw for the Hay Cup: Mrs. Hamilton v. Miss N. Bradley, Mrs. Sinclair v. Mrs. McCalman, Mrs. Hilton v. Mrs. Strachan, Mvs. Gordon v. Miss A. Spooner, Mrs. Waterworth v. Mrs. Collins, Miss Bowler v. Mrs. O’Callaghan, Miss C. Bradley v. Mrs. Morris, Mrs. Quinn v. Mrs. Savery, Mrs. Seeling v. Mrs. Brophy, Mrs. Bell V. Mrs. McKee, Mrs. Spooner v. Miss Gibbs, Mrs. Naylor a bye. Junior Plate: Mrs. McCullough V. Miss Griffiths, Miss H. Nicholls v. Miss Warring, Mrs. White v. Miss Leary, Mrs. Thorburn v. Miss Northover. The conditions for this competition will be the same as for the Hay Cup and the first round of both must be played Sunday, August 6. There will not be a draw for this week and players are asked to play off matches where possible and if not to choose own partners for extra scores.
