Heating System For Town Hall HUNTERVILLE, Last Night (OC). —The work of installing a central heating system in the auditorium of the Hunterville Town Hall is expected to begin in about two weeks’ time. The contract has been let to Messrs A. and T. Burt Ltd. at the cost of £650, This is considerably less than was expected when the matter was considered about a year ago. The decision to have the Town Hail heated was made at an adjourned meeting of the Hunterville Town 1 Board recently. The mover of the motion was Commissioner . G. Meads and seconder Commissioner C. K. Hill. ; Users of the Town Hall in the winder months will receive this news with gratitude as the heating of the hall has been a long-felt want. REWA WOMEN’S INSTITUTE At the May meeting of the Rewa Women’s Institute the president. Mis D. Cooper, gave a short tak on China, which was illustrated by interesting extracts from literature dealing with Chinese life, art. and pottery. Mrs A Harre read an article prepared by herself on historical facts and customs, showing that the ancient Chinese were quite as civilised as they are in modern times. Mrs G. Green gave a demonstration on the making of a floral bonbon. When finished it lookel gay enough to cheer any sick room, the cellophane wrapping giving the final touch. The penny competition to raise funds for food parcels was won by Mrs H. Beilski. Members were reminded of their individual effort. All entries are to je in by the June meeting. The entries for the month’s competition, a plate of four pieces representing an afternoon lea, made the appetising refreshments for the meeting
