HEAVYWEIGHT WRESTLING
Wanganui wrestling fans are due for an action-packed treat next Wednesday when Al (“Cyclone”) Costello, the Australian wrestler, rated by the Wellington newspapers as the most sensational ever seen in Wellington, meets Lou Sjoberg, the American, who has a similar reputation among the Auckland wrestling fans. Costello’s first match in New Zealand was against Flash Gordon and it was so sensational that the men were immediately re-matched. The rematch, like the original contest, was a thriller all the way, Costello taking charge afte” the decision was rendered against him. A clever wrestler, and one of the fast and fittest seen in any New Zealand wrestling ring, Costello should have a thrilling set-to with Sjoberg, who has shown in Auckland matches that he is quickly roused to anger and retaliation when he feels that his opponents have overstepped the rules. Wanganui wrestling fans are assured of a thrilling night of wrestling when these two quick-to-anger wrestlers get into the ring next Wednesday.
