Body Of Fanner Found In River

NEW PLYMOUTH, Last Night (PA).—The body of Thomas Samuel Ward, widower, aged about 75, was recovered from the Makotuku stream, three miles from Raetihi, today. Ward, who was in poor health, was a pioneer farmer of Raetihi. He 1* thought to have collapsed and fallen about ton foot in the shallow stream. Ward was lost seen alive before lunch by his son, A. 11. Ward, a neighbouring farmer, to whom he spok® before walking to the river.
