“During the war country meter readings were carried out at fourmonthly periods because oj shortage of reading staff,” reported the secretary (Mr. G. A. Ammundsen) to the monthly meeting of the WanganuiRangitikei Electric Power Board yesterday. “This is not helpful during rationing and the earlier practice of bi-monthly readings is being restored. This will be done gradually over the next few months as the work can be handled,” added Mr. Ammundsen.
