The winners of the Senior and Junior sections play off in the final. SCHOOL GIRL BREAKS ARM. When she tripped and fell while skipping in the grounds of the Taihape D.H. School on Wednesday, a young girl, Gwyneth Fannin, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. E. R. Fannin, of Papakai Road, Taihape, suffered a fractured arm. Apparently she fell on her elbow, the break occurring in this part of the arm. The little sufferer received prompt medical attention. WORKINGMEN’S CLUB. Four nominations have been received for president of the Taihape Workingmen’s Club, while two nominees are contesting the secretaryship. The number of nominations for the executive committee greatly exceeds the number of seats. The officers for the ensuing year will be elected by postal ballot. The retiring president, Mr. J. Steadman, is not seeking re-election. The annual meeting of the club is being held this week. RUGBY REFEREES FOR TOMORROW. Mr. Tony Marchioni, who was injured in a motor accident in Ruru Road, Taihape, on Tuesday evening, has been discharged from hospital. The condition of Mr. Wm. McLeod is described as serious, though the patient is reported to be comfoi /.ble.
