Whangaehu School Swimming Bath; Raising Of Funds

To assist in tfle building of a swimming bath at the Whangaehu School the Parent Teachers’ Association, together with contributions from the district, raised £3OO towards the cost. It is estimated that the baths will cost £6OO, and the Wanganui Education Board will apply to the Education Department for a subsidy so that the work can be started. The size ot the bath is to be 35 feet by 15 feet, not 15 by 14, as published on Wednesday. Several complimentary references to the work of the Parent Teachers’ Association have been made.
