New Closing Time Of Mails For Despatch By New Plymouth Express
An alteration in the closing time at the Wanganui Post Office of mails for despatch by the New Plymouth-Wel-lington express has been arranged, ac. cording to the chief postmaster, Mr. W. O’Connell.
Mails for Palmerston North, Wellington, South Island, etc., will now close on Mondayss, Wednesdays, Fridays and Saturdays at 11 a.m., with' a late fee closing at 11.30 a m. Previously the time of closing for the offices mentioned was 10.30 a.m., with late fee posting at 11.15 a.m. Mr. O’Connell said that it is considered that the later closing of the mail will prove to be more acceptable to the public generally.
