TAIHAPE RETURNED MEN DEBATE LEASE OF DRILL HALL
TAIHAPE. Last Night (O.C.)— After a lengthy discussion the Taihape R.S.A., at its monthly meeting tonight, decided to apply to the Minister of Defence, Mr. Macdonald, for a lease of the Drill Hall (formerly known as the Fighting Forces Club), for a period of six months. It was also agreed that the women’s section of the R.-S.A. be consulted regarding the matter, and that a final decision of the future lease be decided at the annual meeting of the R.S.A.
The president, Mr. M. Curtis, and other speakers, thought the association should relinquish the lease of the hall in view of the financial loss involved.
