INDEPENDENT LABOUR AND INDEPENDENT FOR WESTERN MAORI SEAT

WELLINGTON, Last Night (PAL— Although no official Labour candidate has yet been announced for the Western Maori, the nomination of a candidate understood to be Independent Labour has been received by the returning officer. The nomination is that of Mr. Uruteraingina Wakarua, of Waitotara, secretary of the Maori Trust Board at Hawera. A second nomination already in for Western Maori is of an Independent, Mr. Tauwhare te Wirihaina, farmer, of Taihape.
