Regret that he had been unable io obtain any tenders for the work ol painting the Vinegar Hill and Mangaweka bridges was expressed by the engineer, Mr. 11. Murray Reid, at tne monthly meeting in Marton yesterday of the Rangitikei County Council. “I recommend that unless the Ministry of Works can he’>p us out, the monies be transferred to other highways for expenditure," the engineer added.
