SINGAPORE, Nov. 2. (Recd. 8.10 pm).—Britain’s top-ranking political and defence experts on Asia and the Far East assembled at South Johore today to discuss vital matters concerning British territories in the region. The conference, which has been rated the most important meeting of high British Government, colonial and foreign representatives and service chiefs ever held in Asia, will last three days. The talks are expected to have an important bearing on British policy in South-East Asia, following the Communists’ victories in China.
