Big Entries For Wanganui A. & P. Show

With entries well in advance of last year, a big success is in prospect for the Wanganui A. and P. Show, to be held on the Racecourse on Friday and Saturday, November 11 and 12. Seen yesterday, the secretary, Mr F. H. Donaldson, expressed gratification at the response of exhibitors and said it was very encouraging to» the show executive. The entries total more than 2212. The full list of entries in the various sections, with those for last year in parenthses, are:—Horses 705 (681); cattle 420 (282); sheep 241 (243); export lamb competition, 68 pens of three to a pen (27); pigs 87 (71); home industries 701 (591). Several improvements have been made for the accommodation of stock in the past year, and includes a new cattle pavilion for 60 head of stock. The majority of judging will be disposed of by the first day, and a wide and interesting programme has been arranged for the second day, “People's Day,’’ including the grand parade.
